The police in Osun have arraigned a 39-year-old man, Olalekan Adeshina, before a Magistrate’s Court sitting in Osogbo, for allegedly stealing some wares belonging to a company he worked with.
Adeshina, said to be the store keeper of a company, Ebenezer Nigeria Enterprises, was alleged to have committed the offence at 165, Station Road, Osogbo.
Police prosecutor, Olusegun Elisha, informed the court that the accused stole some goods, including 7 tec washing machines, 21 Haier Thermocool fridges, 4 electric generators and 4 citizen freezers, among others.

Elisha argued that the alleged stolen wares were worth N2million, stressing that the worker abused the position offered him by his employer as the store keeper.
He added that the offence was contrary to Section 383 and punishable under Section 390(6)(9) of the Criminal Code, Cap 34 vol.II, Laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2003.
But the accused person pleaded not guilty to the theft allegation.
Defence counsel, J. Jones, applied for his client’s bail in liberal terms.
Magistrate M.A Awodele granted the accused bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in the same amount.
The matter was adjourned till September 29 for mention.
