Popular producer, Cobhams Asuquo, has said that producing his debut album was not a walk in the park, as it took him time, energy and money. While unveiling demo and plans for the launch of his debut album, ‘For You,’ on March 12, he pleaded with people to download the songs from original platforms to promote hard work and good music.

He told The Point that he had spent five years on the project, practicing, travelling and experimenting journals.

He added, “We should know that this cost much – $100, 000, in summary. So, it will not be fair for bloggers to put it on their sites for free, saying they are promoting the music. We should download the songs from authorised links.”

Cobhams, who started the album in 2012, insisted that his love for music made him to produce the 14-track album. After the launch, he plans to go on a music tour to share the songs around the world.

According to him, he now wants to be known as Legendary Cobhams, who is also a recording and performing artiste.

“I’m passionate about music, so I want to share this project as a tool for enjoyment, social consciousness and awareness. “This album is purely the classic Cobhams, expressing my thoughts and acknowledging who God is in my life. It is about reality and whatsoever message each track passes to you as a person, is what it is.”

He also stated that he had always loved to make his own music with strong messages. Though, the visually challenged producer is just releasing an album, he has dropped singles like ‘Ordinary People, ‘Star of Wonders,’ and a few more. All the songs received good reviews upon release.

During the early stages of the album’s production, the singer admitted that he felt his voice was weird. He had to experiment music journals and consulted international music instructors for help.

He maintained, ‘I am happy about this project because I have always had passion for creating my own songs. Now, I am out as the writer, singer, recorder and producer.” The album is now available on music sites such as iTunes, Amazon and Apple Music.
