Rivers United head coach Stanley Eguma is optimistic his side stands a chance of reaching the playoff stage of the CAF Confederation Cup against South Africa’s Bloemfontein Celtic.
The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side will travel to South Africa to trade tackles with Bloemfontein Celtic in the first leg of the playoff.
Eguma said his players are in the right frame of mind and have the support of the club management.
“We have a very good chance going forward, it’s just that my players must be in their right frame of minds and again you know, they need to be focused, the team is working round the clock, the management is solidly behind the team and I believe that, if we put our acts together to make sure we arrive on time to have enough rest, we will do well.”
Rivers United reached the playoff following a 2-0 win against Futuro Kings in Port Harcourt.
