The Delta State Commissioner for Lands and Surveys, Hon. Chika Ossai, has warned developers in the state to seek approval from the Ministry of Land and Survey before erecting any building.
Ossai warned that those who failed to get approval before building risked the demolition of their structures.
He, therefore, charged developers to always strive to obtain their building approval before erecting any structure.
The commissioner gave the charge recently, when he led a team of his ministry to Area Planning Offices at Ogwashi Uku, Issele Uku, Agbor Obiarukwu and Abraka areas in the state.
At Abraka in Ethiope East Local Government Area, the commissioner frowned at a situation where developers build without a building approval and urged the Area Planning Officer to issue demolition notice to defaulters.
