The National Chairman of the reformed All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Buba Galadima, has said that the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari has no meaningful agenda for the people of Nigeria.

Galadima, who is also a former secretary of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change, described the Buhari government as comatose and lacking direction.

He assured that the Coalition of United Political Parties was working assiduously to upstage and take over power from the ruling All Progressives Congress in
2019.

Galadima said that the CUPP would take over power from Buhari because, “We thought since the day he was announced the President things would change for the better, our security would be addressed, economy would be addressed, unemployment and engagement of young men and women would be addressed and that every Nigerian that is Mr. Nobody would become Mr. Somebody.
But this is not so today. Impunity is the order of the day and some of us cannot be sitting idle and see this happening, and this is why we are working round the clock to make sure that we retire him peacefully to his Daura town on May 29, next year.

“What has the APC put on the table for the generality of Nigerians? Have they ever kept any promise they have made? Have they conceived a project, executed the project and commissioned that project? Anybody from the President to the last man should tell me that this is the project that they have carried out and which is now benefitting Nigerians.”

Galadima, however, said that the campaign for the 2019 presidency that will kick off next month should be based on issues, saying the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, had been talking about the issue of restructuring the country and so the APC leadership should stop casting aspersion on the former vice president.

He said, “Abubakar is being called names. The issue is not about the messenger but it is about the message. The President Nigerians are looking for is that person that will be magnanimous to agree that he is right or he is wrong and that will assemble talents that we have in all parts of the country for the betterment of our nation because no one knows everything.

“Atiku Abubakar is a manager of people and manager of successful businesses. That is a person I am sure can be a good president.”
