The Presidential Candidate of All Progressives Congress, Muhammadu Buhari, has won the presidential election in Ogun State with 281,762 votes to defeat former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, who scored,194,655.
The returning officer, Prof. Joseph Fuwape, announced the results from the 20 Local Government Areas on Monday at the Independent Electoral Commission headquarters in Abeokuta, the state capital.
Fuwape also declared the results of other political parties including the African Democratic Congress, which polled 25,283; Action Democratic Party, 7,705, and Allied Peoples Movement polling 23,539.
The Returning Officer said accredited votes were 605,938, with 564, 256 as valid votes while rejected votes were 41,682 out of the total 605,938 votes cast .
