President Muhammadu Buhari is to honour the Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Isola, with the national honour of Officer of the Federal Republic.
This is contained in a letter to the Ambassador signed on September 19, 2022 by the Minister of Special Duties and Inter-governmental Affairs, George Akume.
“I have the honour to formally inform you that the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, has approved the conferment of the National Honours on you, in the rank of OFR (Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic), the letter reads in part.
Akume said the investiture ceremony will take place at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at 9am.
