THE Governing Council of the University of Lagos has sacked the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Olawatoyin Ogundipe.
This was announced, on Wednesday, during a meeting of the Governing Council of the University, held at the National Universities Commission, in Abuja.
At the meeting, chaired by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the UNILAG Governing Council, Dr. Wale Babalakin, seven members of the Council voted for the removal of Ogundipe, while four voted against it.
One member voted that the vice chancellor should instead be placed on suspension.
