PUBLISHER of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore, has been granted bail in the sum of N20million by a Magistrate Court sitting in Wuse Zone 2, Abuja.
The other four activists, who were arrested along with Sowore – Juwon Sanyaolu, Peter Williams, Emmanuel Bulus, and Damilare Adenola – were granted N1m bail each.
They were arrested on December 31, 2020, in Abuja for organising a protest against the Government.
The five are standing trial for alleged conspiracy, unlawful assembly, and inciting public disturbance.
The court however ordered Sowore to remain in Abuja and to report physically to the registrar every Monday and Friday, pending the determination of his case.
