THE media industry and the Yourba nation have been thrown into grief with the news of the death of renowned activist and National Publicity Secretary of the pan-Yoruba socio-political group, Yinka Odumakin.
The frontline critic of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government and previous governments, including the regime of late Gen. Sanni Abacha, was said to have died after a brief illness.
The Point could not however readily confirm whether he died late Friday night or early Saturday.
His close aides confirmed to The Point that Odumakin, who was married to women’s rights activist, Joe Okei-Odumakin, had been indisposed for some time.
There had not been an official statement on his demise and cause as of the time of filing this report.
