The lives and limbs of people living around and plying the Atan-Agbara Road are now in danger owing to the deplorable state of the road.
The road, being one of the major roads in Ado-Odo-Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State, therefore, requires urgent attention.
It’s very clear that the road is in urgent need of repairs. Drivers and commuters plying the road are prone to auto accidents, which have become a daily occurrence on that road.
So, if urgent rehabilitation is not urgently carried out on this road, it will soon become impassable and abandoned during the rainy season.
The deplorable state of the road is also negatively affecting the economic wellbeing of villagers in the area.
They cannot carry out harvesting activities on their farms for sale in some of the major markets due to the non-availability of vehicles plying the bad road. Agbara to Lusada, which used to be a 15-minute journey, is now one and a half hours.
Car owners have to spend extra on constant repairs of their vehicles due to the deplorable condition of that road. We urge the state government and other appropriate authorities to urgently take action on the matter.
