STUDENTS abducted from Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka, Kaduna State, by bandits were on Wednesday released, a day after their parents and other sympathisers stormed the National Assembly, Abuja, in protest.
The remaining 27 students were released after the intervention of Islamic scholar, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, and a former President, it was learnt.
Chairman of the Parents association of the school, Abdullahi Usman, confirmed the development.
“Yes, they were released. We thank you for the support,” he said.
The students have been in captivity for about two months.
Recall that 10 of the 37 kidnapped students had earlier been released.
