Lanre Fasasi aka Sound Sultan has insisted that the artistes signed to his record label, Naija Ninja are doing fine.

Karma Da Rapper, Young GreyC, Shawn and Blackah are all signed to Sound Sultan’s label, but they have been struggling to make meaningful impact on the music scene.

In a chat with The Point at an event in Lagos, he said people were born at different times.

“We all have different time, but trust me my artistes are working really hard. Blackah just released a new video for his song, ‘Mana Style,’ featuring Iyanya and Young L. It is a very wonderful video. I don’t want to start making noise about the crop of artistes we are grooming right now. I have some things I am working on as well, but I don’t want to discuss them now. You guys would find out later.

Sultan said that the label’s movie production, ‘Head Gone,’ was a wonderful experience, which earned the label good money.

Speaking about his love for live music, he said he could do anything to ensure everyone performs live.

“Live music will be live music anytime and it cannot die. There are places you can still listen to live music if you want to. For me as an artiste, I don’t feel myself if I perform without my band. Without my band, I am not inspired and motivated.”

Sultan also believe that it is the grace of God that has kept him relevant in the music industry.

“I don’t think singing timeless music is my doing; I think it is God. All what I have achieved today is by God’s grace,” he said.
