THE Ebonyi State Police Command has blacklisted 18 persons over alleged involvement in murder, arson and promoting intra-communal war in the state.
The state Commissioner of Police, Garba Aliyu, disclosed this in a statement, signed by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Loveth Odah.
The CP also accused the fleeing natives of unlawful possession of firearm and attempt to commit felony to wit: cultism.
“The Ebonyi State Police Command declares the underlisted persons wanted in connection with alleged cases of promoting intra-communal war, murder, arson, unlawful possession of firearm and ammunitions, attempt to commit felony to wit; murder and cultism,” the statement said.
The Command listed names of the wanted people to include: Nwankwo Godwin (a.k.a Nkwo Motors), Hope Nwanikwo, Chibueze Nwifuru (a.k.a Big meat), Daniel Nwangwoto and Osondu Mgbada (a.k.a Stain), Okechukwu Nwanga (a.k.a Ezza), Chukwudi Nwite (a.k.a. Laz Born), Ernest Aduma, Chukwudi Okefi (a.k.a Malaika), Oliver Okefi (a.k.a Malife) and Osondu Okefi.
Others are: John Elom, Paul Elom, Odinaka Idu, Monday Idu, Solomon Okefi, Chinedu Ilor and Garba (from Inikiri Bernard).
The PPRO said, “The Command enjoins the good people of Ebonyi State and the General Public to apprehend, if seen, report to the nearest Police Station or call the Police Emergency numbers – 07064515001/ 07034232125.
“The wanted persons are all indigenes of Effium/Ezza-Effium Community in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
“Handsome reward awaits any person with useful information that can lead to the arrest of the suspects.”
In another development, THE POINT’s Correspondent gathered that the Ekumenyi Divisional Police Station, also referred to as Central Police Station, was again attacked by unknown persons on Tuesday, after the October 2020 incident, which led to the death of many officers and loss of properties.
