Archbishop of Anglican Archdiocese of Awka, Most Rev. Alexander Ibezim, has urged Christians to imbibe the heart of thanksgiving and obedience to God’s words to achieve success in life.

Ibezim spoke at a special service to mark the Maiden Diocesan Harvest Thanksgiving and Recognition of Diocesan Auxiliary Ambassadors at the Cathedral Church of Saint Faith, on Sunday in Awka.

He said: “It is very important that, daily, we reflect on our lives and thank God for all His mercies, protection and provisions.
“It is all the great work of God and His great kindness over us that we are all alive, healthy, moving about freely and doing things without stress.

“The diocese also recorded massive elevations, progress and developmental projects, mission work and establishment of many churches.
“So, we need to be grateful.

“If we are always thankful, obey the dictates of God and surrender to His will and plans for us, then we shall prosper as individuals, as a society and as a nation,“ he said.

The archbishop also urged the Auxiliary Ambassadors to put the Diocese in limelight by propagating the gospel, living righteous lives and shunning sin, which makes God`s grace to be far from man.

Speaking on behalf of the newly-recognised Auxiliary Ambassadors, Sir Chris Chikwelu pledged their readiness to assist in expanding the gospel to the nooks and crannies of the diocese. (NAN)
