The All Progressives Congress national youth leader and member of the Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Ismaeel Buba Ahmed, has declared that the ruling party is a united family going into the national convention as the warring parties have sheathed their swords.

Ahmed made the declaration at the Buhari House national secretariat of the party after a meeting with Yakubu Murtala Ajaka, the Special Assistant to the National Chairman of the CECPC, Governor Mai Mala Buni and leader of Rebirth APC, Mustafa Abubakar.

The national youth leader disclosed that the APC youths were aware of the importance of coming together as a united body to work for the success of the party’s national convention slated for February 26.

He maintained that the era of bickering among the youths is now a forgone issue, adding that their concentration for now is to ensure the national convention produces quality leadership for the party.

“We are no more fighting. The battle is over. You can see that we are united and that makes us stronger. It’s a signal that our forthcoming national convention will be very peaceful and successful.”

Speaking in same vein, Ajaka commended the youth leader for allowing reason to prevail.

He said the party is the symbol of unity and because of that, no member should fan embers of disunity.

“We are happier as a united body. The youth is always the bedrock of every organization and I want to assure you that our hard working chairman is father to all. He will always welcome all to the party as a united front,” he stressed.
