The All Progressives Congress has released the timetable/schedule of activities for the conduct of congresses across wards, local government council areas and states of the federation to elect party officials following approval by the Governor Mai Mala Buni-led Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee.
An official notice signed and issued by the party’s Director of Organisation, Prof. Al-Mustapha Medaner, indicates that purchase of forms for ward congresses is scheduled for 1st to 7th July, while inauguration of ward/LGA congresses screening /screening appeals committee is on the 10th of July.
Screening of aspirants for the ward party positions will hold from 12th July to 16th July whereas ward/LGA congresses /congresses appeals committee will be inaugurated on 19th July. Ward congresses and appeals arising from ward congresses will hold on 24th and 26 to 29 of July respectively.
The official notice further shows that purchase of forms for the LGA party positions is scheduled for 26th to 30th July while screening of aspirants to LGA party positions holds on 19th to 26th July.
The LGA congresses, including 3-man delegates to national convention will hold on 14th August and appeals arising from LGA congresses will hold from 16th to 20th August.
The purchase of forms for state executive committee is slated for 23rd to 27th August with the inauguration of screening /screening appeals committee for state Exco slated for 30th August as screening of aspirants for state Exco is from the 6th to 8th September.
Also, appeals arising from screening for state Exco holds from 12th to 15th September, state congresses holds 18th September, 2021 and appeals arising from state congresses is scheduled for 19th to 21st September.
Aspirants will, by this notice, purchase forms in this order: Ward chairman – N10, 000; ward vice chairman, secretary and treasurer – N5,000; other offices – N 2,000. Local government chairman – N25,000; local government vice chairman, secretary and treasurer – N15,000.00; other offices – N10, 000.
Form for state chairman will be sold for N100,000; state vice chairman, secretary and treasurer – N50,000; other offices – N30,000.
However, female aspirants and physically challenged aspirants are to pay 50per cent of the prescribed fees for each position.
