In his usual exemplary leadership manner, former governor of Ogun State and Senator representing Ogun Central, Ibikunle Amosun, on Thursday visited and commiserated with the families of those who died in the recent fire incident at Lafenwa, Abeokuta.
A truck laden with fuel had fallen, caught fire, wreaked havoc and claimed lives at Lafenwa market in Abeokuta, last Sunday.
Amosun, who was flanked by the leadership of market traders association, was received by traders and residents of the market who expressed their joy and commended his promptness.
Followed by the market women and residents, Amosun visited the homes of the deceased and consoled their families.
He prayed for the deceased to find peace with their makers and assured their loved ones of his maximum support.
The former governor thereafter assured those who lost their means of livelihood due to the inferno of prompt attention, as well as assistance in making them get back on their feet.
