Amosun congratulates Sarafa Ishola at 60, says he’s a ‘selfless politician of repute’

FORMER Governor of Ogun State and lawmaker representing Ogun Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has congratulated former Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Chief Sarafa Tunji Ishola, on his 60th birthday.

Amosun, in a letter he personally signed, sighted by our correspondent, described Ishola as an illustrious citizen of Ogun State whose service had positively impacted the state and Nigeria as a whole.

He specifically said his close relationship with the former Minister, who is the Baba Adinni of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States, had further depicted him as a hardworking, intelligent and selfless person.

According to Amosun, who governed Ogun State for eight years, Ishola has also proven to be a politician of repute and a piuos Islamic leader.

Amosun’s letter read, “I write to felicitate with you on the occasion of your 60th birthday on Wednesday, 25th November, 2020.

“Attaining such a milestone age calls for a celebration of your life and the numerous achievements you have recorded over the past six decades.

“You are an illustrious citizen of Ogun State whose service has positively impacted our dear State and Nigeria, most importantly, when you served as Local Government Chairman, Secretary to the State Government and Minister of Mines and Steel Development.

“Beyond all of these, you have also proven to be a politician of repute and a piuos Islamic leader. Indeed, my close relationship with you has further depicted you as a hardworking, intelligent and selfless person.

“I have no doubt that you will also bring these qualities to bear in your new Ambassadorial assignment.

“As you celebrate this milestone age of 60 years, I wish you a happy birthday, and pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) will grant you many more years, in good health, so that you can continue to make significant contributions to the development of our dear State and Nigeria.

“Once again, please accept my hearty congratulations and the assurances, as always, of my highest regards.”
