veteran with over 20 years of professional experience in the client and services aspect of Public Relations and training consultancy, proffering value-adding solutions to managerial problems and turning issues into opportunities, as they arise.

She’s a principal consultant/chief executive officer of foremost public relations training firm, NECC Limited.

For Ali-Balogun, however, fashion means looking good and being elegant in a decent way. Fashion, she contends, is essentially about looking good at all times.

She says, “A woman should dress to depict cultural decency; your dressing tells who you are at a glance.

It also shows the type of upbringing you have. Although fashion is trendy, it has to be positive. Nigeria is endowed with cultural values, which we must imbibe even in our dressing.

“I like looking good; I like good colours. I like accessories or costumes to complement my dresses. I dress according to the occasion; the event I attend determines what I wear. How I dress to work is different from how I dress to church or parties.”

The PR Amazon, who clinched the award of working mother in 2014, notes that inspite of being a professional, “I believe my primary function is to be a wife to my husband and a mother to my children.

So, my family comes first always. I actually feel a woman’s crowning glory at the end of the day is her family.” According to her, the home front must not suffer because of work.

“I weigh my options, count my cost and make my choice. After all, what does it profit me if my business grows and my family suffers? I desire my business to grow, but I also want it to grow alongside a stable family,” she says.

Ali-Balogun, a graduate of the University of Lagos, also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and crowned her academic laurels with an MBA in Management from the same institution.

She has also attended Public Relations Management courses at Frank Jefkins School of Public Relations, London, and the prestigious Lagos Business School.
