The Chairman of Labour Party in Ogun State, Abayomi Arabambi, has berated a former (factional) governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state, Ladi Adebutu, for accusing Governor Dapo Abiodun of diverting the sum of N64 billon local government allocation in the state.
Adebutu had accused Abiodun of mismanaging the Federal Government allocation for the 20 councils in the state, saying that within the 21 months of his administration, he had only been paying salaries to council workers in the state.
Arabambi, in a reaction to the allegation, described Adebutu’s comment as an indication of his desperation to become governor in Ogun State. According to him, it is ridiculous that he could stoop low to peddle an unfounded rumour against the governor.
He said, “When you say somebody diverted N64 billion, you must come out with facts. As far as I am concerned, this is unfounded. No money was diverted. When you say somebody diverted N64 billion, you didn’t say what they used it to do. I consider Ladi Adebutu as an attention seeker and (he) should stop giving false information.”
“I want to advise him to face the problems in their party and stop giving information that is false. If he wants to govern Ogun State, he should not do that through lies and misinformation.”
