… says ‘I won’t resign as deputy gov’
THE Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Agboola Ajayi, has officially resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress.
He tendered his resignation letter at the APC Secretariat in his Apoi Ward 2, Ese Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State
Ajayi has, however, said he will not resign his position as deputy governor.
He obtained his membership card for the opposition Peoples Democratic Party from the same Apoi Ward 2, saying everyone was aware of his reason for dumping APC.
Just on Saturday night, the Deputy Governor had been prevented by the state Commissioner of Police, Bolaji Salami, from leaving the Government House with his vehicles.
In a video that had gone viral on social media, the CP was seen preventing the Ondo State Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi, from leaving the government house with his official vehicles.
The CP was seen standing in front of the Deputy Governor, in the short video, saying he would not leave the premises.
