Niger Tornadoes Football Club;s defender, Lateef Adeshina, is confident that his recovery and recuperating rate will not take him beyond two weeks. He revealed that the club’s medical team has been working day and night to keep his fitness in perfect shape.
The player is regretting that he would not be available when his teammates file out against Nasarawa FC on Sunday. The former Sokoto United FC defender injured his thigh against Plateau United FC in Jos.
Currently receiving treatment in Minna, Adeshina expressed joy, as his teammates secured a slim victory over Gombe United last Sunday at their adopted home ground, Confluence Stadium, Lokoja. Adeshina said, “I picked up an injury on my thigh when we played away to Plateau United in week 9, and I have been receiving treatment since then.
“I have gotten an assurance from the medical team that I should be able to resume full training in two weeks’ time. The most important thing for me is to follow the advice of the doctors, so that there won’t be a re-occurrence. I am very glad that we won last Sunday. Every member of the team have a role to play both on and off the pitch, as we aim and take a step at a time to achieve our target.”
