THE General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God worldwide, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, clocked 40 years as the Head of the influential church on Thursday.
Leke Adeboye, son of the respected pastor, drew the attention of people to this when he shared a photo on Instagram, captioned, “Celebrating 40 years at the top”.
Adeboye joined the Redeemed Christian Church of God in 1973 and began interpreting Yoruba to English for Pastor Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi.
He became the general overseer of RCCG in 1981, succeeding late Papa Akindayomi.
Adeboye, 78, has expanded RCCG to about 200 countries, with more than 14 million branches in Nigeria.
