Tosin Adarabioyo will take a medical at Chelsea this week before signing a long-term contract.
The Fulham defender is expected to join the Blues on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of June.
Newcastle also wanted Adarabioyo, 26, but he couldn’t turn down Chelsea, who are looking for a centre-back after Thiago Silva left.
Adarabioyo formerly worked at Manchester City under new Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca.
