Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has appointed four principals of Secondary schools as principals-general for the four zones in the State.
Appointed are Sobulo Olaniyi-Okanlawon for Egba Zone; Adeyemi Olaitan Abike for Ijebu Zone, Orobiyi Sunday Akanbi for Yewa Zone and Odukoya Olusegun Owodunni for Remo Zone.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Kunle Somorin, Governor Abiodun said the step became necessary following the retirement of all the Principals General sworn in September, 2020
“It is also to motivate teachers and give them the opportunity to attain the highest level in the Public Service.
While stating that the newly appointed Principals General were chosen by merit and seniority, the governor enjoined the new appointees to see their appointments as a call to higher service.
