Abia Warriors head coach, Abdul Usman Biffo, is celebrating the goalless draw at Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), but is also urging his charges to remain focused on their next match.

The Umuahia Warriors held the Oluyole Warriors to 0-0 draw in Sunday’s top-flight matchday 14 clash at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Adamasingba, Ibadan.

Biffo said the team will now focus on the tough clash coming against former champions Kano Pillars.

“The away draw at 3SC is worth celebrating. I’m happy with the draw but I will not allow the excitement to distract the the players as we have a tough clash against Kano Pillars.

“Maybe after we must have beaten Kano Pillars and pick up another point on the road at MFM FC we can afford to go all out to celebrate.

“Right now we must stay focused on the tough clash against Kano Pillars.

“The players performed well against 3SC and deserved to share the spoils. I must commend them for their fighting spirit.

“3SC came out strongly, you cannot take anything away from them after the draw at Gombe United.

“However, I must say kudos to my boys for standing firmly throughout the clash to a earn a well-deserved point,” said the former Giwa FC and Niger Tornadoes coach to supersport.com.

The point at the Ibadan landlords upped Abia Warriors’ earnings to 19 points from possible 42 in the 14-week old top-flight.
