The monarch was reportedly abducted by unknown gunmen on Thursday in the community, and his lifeless body found at Eke Okwudor area of the community.

Eze Azike was said to have been abducted at a school where he had gone to see his sister.

Shortly after the abduction, security men ransacked residences, while searching for the abductors of the monarch.
