Neither Mohamed Salah nor Virgil van Dijk incurred major injuries in the Emirates FA Cup final, according to Jürgen Klopp.

Salah was taken out in the first half of Chelsea’s penalty shootout win at Wembley at the weekend, and Van Dijk had to be replaced before extra time.

During his post-match press conference, Klopp was asked for an update on both players, to which he replied:

“Obviously I spoke to both already after the game, both are really OK.

” All that we know is it’s not a big thing, we really came through.

“But the next game is on Tuesday and that’s obviously pretty quick.

“No, I think they both will be fine, but not… maybe… we have training tomorrow morning, then if they tell me ‘I’m completely fine’ I will be surprised but I will take it and then we have to go from there.

“So we will see.”

Meanwhile, Liverpool maintained their hopes of winning a quadruple after lifting the FA Cup by defeating Chelsea 6-5 in a penalty shootout at Wembley Stadium.

After 120 minutes, the encounter at the home of English football ended 0-0.

With the win, Liverpool has now won 50 trophies, equaling Manchester United’s record as England’s most successful club, despite the fact that the Reds are still competing on two fronts this season.

Liverpool’s domestic tally currently stands at 19 league titles, eight FA Cups, and nine League Cups after their last Wembley success.

Six European Cups/Champions Leagues, three UEFA Cup/Europa Leagues, four European Super Cups, and one FIFA Club World Cup are also available.

United, on the other hand, has won a total of 45 major trophies but has yet to win a trophy since Jose Mourinho took over as manager.

Twenty league titles, twelve FA Cups, five League Cups, three European Cups, one European Cup Winners’ Cup, one UEFA Cup/Europa League, one European Super Cup, one Intercontinental Cup, and one FIFA Club World Cup are among their achievements.
