Lieut. Gen Muhammadu Inuwa Wushishi (retd.) has been reported dead.
Wushishi was said to have died on Saturday in a London hospital where he was receiving treatment due to protracted illness.
The late general was the Chief of Army Staff during former President Shehu Shagari-led administration in the 80s.
He was born on January 1, 1940 in Wushishi town, Wushishi Local Government Area of Niger State.
Wushishi is survived by his wife, Kande Muhammadu, and seven children.
