Former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, immediate past governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun, Chief Executive of Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Ishaq Oloyede, and other notable Nigerians, on Sunday, graced the Islamic wedding ceremony (Nikkah) of Raheemah Olatayo, daughter of the Nigerian High Commissioner to United Kingdom and Baba Adinni of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States, Sarafa Tunji Ishola.
The ceremony took place in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Others present were the immediate past Secretary to the Ogun State Government, Taiwo Adeoluwa, Executive Commissioner (Stakeholder Management) of the Nigerian Communications Commission, Leke Adewolu, veteran journalist and newspaper publisher, Najeem Jimoh, a former member of the House of Representatives, Mikky Kazeem, the Ogun State governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement in the February 2019 election, Adekunle Akinlade, All Progressives Congress chieftains Derin Adebiyi, Abidoye Amosun, and Ogun State leagues of Imams and Alfas.
The Alake of Egbaland and paramount ruler of Egbaland, Oba Aremu Gbadebo, was represented by the Alake – in – council.
While delivering lecture at the Nikkah ceremony, Mudeer, Markaz Arabic Training Centre, Agege, Lagos, Sheikh Muhammad Habeebullah Adam Abdul-Lah El-Ilory, advised the couple to live peacefully and in accordance with the tradition and culture of Nigerian society.
“They should do everything possible to live peacefully and remember the society they come from and do things according to the tradition and culture of the society,” he said.
The Chief Imam of Egbaland, Kamaldeen Balogun, joined the couple together.
