American University of Nigeria, Adamawa Peace Initiative pay condolence visit to Joda’s family

The American University of Nigeria, in collaboration with the Adamawa Peace Initiative, recently paid a condolence visit on late Ahmed Joda’s family in Yola, Adamawa State.

This was contained in a press statement signed by Daniel Okereke, vice president, Public Affairs of AUN, and made available to our correspondent.

Okereke said the team was led by the president of AUN, Margee Ensign.

Others on the entourage included the Bishop of Yola Catholic Diocese, Stephen Dami Mamza, prominent business leader, Paul Ogbonna, and senior management staff of AUN, while the Adamawa State chairman of the Muslim Council, Gambo Jika, sent in his regrets.

Joda was a former chairman of AUN’s Board of Trustees and co-chairman of API at inception.

According to the statement, the late elder statesman’s son, Aliyu, thanked the members for the visit and urged them to remain steadfast in upholding the ideals of API which his father was passionate, and to continue to work for the peace and development of Adamawa State and Nigeria.
