Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun State, Sikirulai Ogundele, has described the court’s ruling ordering Uche Secondus to stop parading himself as the national chairman of the party as uncalled for.

There have been conflicting courts’ orders as a Kebbi State high court ruled that Secondus should remain the national chairman of the party despite the orders by the courts in Rivers and Cross River States banning him from the position.

Ogundele, in an exclusive interview with The Point in Abeokuta, expressed disappointment at the courts’ rulings, alleging the All Progressive Congress of being behind the PDP’s travails in a bid to blight the party’s (PDP’s) hope in the 2023 general elections.

According to him, the APC has failed Nigerians by aggravating poverty, hunger and insecurity.

“The judgments that came from courts in Rivers and Cross Rivers States are just quite unfortunate. We are not in support of Prince Uche Secondus’ ouster as the national chairman of the party. The ruling was uncalled for.

“It is unfortunate that the issue is coming out now. The electorates consider the party as the best alternative to lead them out of the current precipice,” Ogundele noted.
