For a designer like Titi Ogufere, creativity can be achieved in fashion only when one is not overdressed. Yet, she understands the importance of nurturing such basic talent to cutting edge level. An Interior Designer by profession, Ogufere says that being a designer has fashioned her wardrobe for the better.
She says that the best part about her dressing minimally is being comfortable because she believes that.
“Less is more and dressing comfortably makes you look sleek, chic and classic. This concept of simplicity in dressing has also reflected in my professional wardrobe. I say no to any bangles clashing on the wrist, dangle earrings getting caught in my hair or layers riding up on each other,” she said.

untitledOgufere is the president and founder of Interior Designers Association of Nigeria, and runs a private interior décor magazine, called Essential Interiors Magazine in Ikoyi.
But Interior Designing was not as first love. She obtained a degree in Mathematics and Library Science and worked for a while before returning to school to study interior design, events management and public relations at Dublin Business School.
She also later proceeded to the College of Arts and did a course in editorial design. “I did Maths because it was the subject I got admitted for; I’ve always had flair for interiors,” she said.
