Former Super Eagles captain, Obi Mikel, has given his approval of Chelsea’s record signing and return of Romelu Lukaku.
He further stated that European champions Chelsea are well placed to challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title following the capture of the Belgium goal poacher Lukaku.
The Blues re-signed Lukaku on a five-year contract, seven years after he departed Stamford Bridge to join Everton.
At 115 million euros, Lukaku is the most expensive player in history signed by Chelsea, breaking the 82 million euros the club paid for Germany international Kai Havertz last September.
One of the best strikers in the world at the moment, Lukaku is coming off the back of an impressive 2020-2021 season at Inter Milan, scoring 24 goals and registering 10 assists to help the Nerazzurri win the Serie A title.
