ABOUT four security operatives have been feared killed in an attack by gunmen suspected to be members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, on two checkpoints along the Airport Road, Omahwa, in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The gunmen were said to have killed the operatives at the different check points.
The attacks reportedly took place about 11.30pm on Saturday at the Joint Taskforce checkpoint, Omagwa, and Nigeria Customs Checkpoint, Isiokpo.
Two people were also said to have been beheaded close to the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omuagwa, Ikwerre Local Government Area of the state.
Spokesperson for the state Police Command, Nnamdi Omoni, said an official statement on the incident would soon be made.
