I was 15 years old when I first experienced love between a man and woman. I was planning to go to the seminary at that point. After spending 10 years of my life in seminary, I changed my mind on being a priest later.
While I was going to the seminary, I did not have the courage to let her know. She later found out from her friends and she felt bitter about it.
When we came home for the holiday and we met, she warned me to stay away from her. She called me a heartbreaker and all sorts. It took another five years before we could rec- oncile. I told her I was sorry about the way I handled things and it was childish. She said she would not have stood on my way if I had explained things to her. We then became very good friends afterwards.
I became her confidant in relationship matters. When she started having too many admirers, I complained bitterly. She told me that all she needed from me was advice. According to her, it was not her fault that things did not work out between us since I wanted to become a priest.
