SUSPECTED Boko Haram terrorists, on Friday evening, reportedly attacked Kwapre village, in Hong Local Government area of Adamawa State.

Five persons were said to have been killed during the invasion, while about 30 women were reportedly abducted.

The insurgents, who were said to have invaded the village in their numbers, shot sporadically, while residents who could flee scampered for safety, it was learnt.

They were said to have also destroyed many houses and properties.

It was learnt that residents of the village had all fled as of the time of filing this report, owing to the panic associated with the invasion.

“There is nobody left in this village. Everyone has fled for safety,” a source said.

Police Public Relations Officer in Adamawa State, DSP Suleiman Nguroje, however, could not speak on the incident.

He told the media that it was a Boko Haram matter and that he did not have the mandate to speak on it.
