THE Lagos State Government has said the Agege Pen-Cinema Flyover will be formally opened for public use next week.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu gave this assurance during the opening of the 16th Executive/Legislative Parley in the state, organised by the Office of Civic Engagement.
The construction of the flyover was initiated during the tenure of former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, and was scheduled to be inaugurated in July 2020.
This could not however be achieved, owing to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown, which led to the suspension of work on the flyover.
The Executive/Legislative Parley is the second one being held under Governor
Sanwo-Olu.
According to him, the parley will help set the tone and agenda for his administration to plan for a Lagos that everyone will be proud of.
