YOUTHS from the Northern part of the country have expressed their readiness to support Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State for Presidency come 2023.

The Northern youths, under the auspices of AREWA Youth Advocates For Peace and Unity Initiative, made this known when they paid homage to the Governor in his hometown.

The group said Umahi was the type of leader Nigeria needs.

Led by its National President, Sani Danaudu Mohammed, the Group called on Governor Umahi to make himself available for Presidency in 2023, stressing that every other region in the country had taken their slot, except the South East.

Mohammed said, “We AREWA youth feel very humble and honoured to celebrate with Your Excellency this Christmas and New Year.

“Our founding fathers who died in the course of building this country are very much alive in Uburu. I have seen the presence of governance in the state. You are a perfect definition of the leader we desire.”

He called on Ebonyians, both at home and in the diaspora, to continue to give their unflinching support to the Governor, describing his recent defection to the All Progressives Congress as a fruitful venture that would engender more development in the state.

He said, “When I went through most of the projects, I was astonished as to how he was able to do these. I see him as a magical governor. He has done so well in infrastructural development and human capital development. There is no rival, you can’t compare him with any other governor in the country.

“I got to say that the cornucopia of his monumental infrastructural development speaks volumes of itself.

“I want to say that God will give him the strength, the wisdom to continue the way he has done in Ebonyi State. And I believe that when one has done very well, God will lift that person to a higher position.

“I think God will lift him to duplicate the same thing he has done in Ebonyi State at the National palace. It will be a good thing to Nigeria and to all Nigerians.”
