A petrol-laden tanker, on Monday evening, fell at Agunlejika area of Cele Bus-Stop, along Oshodi-Apapa Expressway (inward Oshodi), spilling its content on to the road and into the gutter before exploding.
The resultant inferno had spread to sections of the road and led to a heavy gridlock on both sides as fire fighters, emergency response and environmental proctection agencies battled to contain it.
As at press time, our correspondent could not ascertain the extent of damage and loss the incident could have caused in terms of lives and property.
