MINISTER of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, has lost his driver, Yohanna Shankuk, amid the lingering #EndSARS protests in Abuja.
Keyamo broke the news of his driver’s death via Twitter on Thursday.
He said the late Shankuk was knocked down on Wednesday by a vehicle that made a U-turn and took ‘one-way’ to avoid advancing protesters.
According to Keyamo, the driver was on his way to his private office when the unfortunate incident occurred.
“I regret to announce that my driver, Mr. Yohanna Shankuk, died yesterday in Abuja as a result of the protests. A vehicle that saw advancing protesters at Berger roundabout, made a U-turn, took the one-way back and ran over him as he was making his way on foot to my private office,” the Minister disclosed.
