WORKERS of the Federal High Court have said they will commence a two-week strike on Monday, September 28, 2020.
The workers said, in a notice circulated around the Federal High Court, Abuja, that their impending action was in line with the planned strike action announced by the Nigerian Labour Congress.
The unsigned notice was given by workers under the aegis of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN).
It said, “Please be informed that the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), Federal High Court chapter, shall, in collaboration with the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), commence a two-week indefinite strike action from Monday the 28th day of September 2020. All offices shall remain closed within this period. You are required to comply.”
The National Industrial Court had issued an interim injunction restraining NLC members from embarking on the planned strike, pending the hearing and determination on the motion on notice.
