NATIONAL Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has arrived Akure, the Ondo State capital, for the flag-off of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu’s re-election campaign.

Tinubu arrived Akure, on Saturday, with a former Governor of Osun State, Bisi Akande, and was received at the airport by Akeredolu and other chieftains and members of the APC in Ondo State.

The Point had reported that Akeredolu’s camp had been reenergised with the reconciliation of the former Secretary to the State Government, Ifedayo Abegunde, with his former boss and the support of other APC governorship aspirants for the Governor’s campaign.

The Governor has Eyitayo Jegede of the Peoples Democratic Party, and his enstranged deputy, Agboola Ajayi, of the Zenith Labour Party, to contend with. The Governorship Candidate of the African Democratic Congress, Dapo Adelegan, is also eyeing the Number One seat in the state.

President Muhammadu Buhari had presented the party’s flag to Akeredolu at the Presidential Villa, in Abuja, predicting an easy win for him in the October 10, 2020 governorship election in the state.
