“Mallam Ismaila Isa Funtua will be remembered for his support to female politicians, especially his role to get them appointed into different boards in the last four years.

“May Allah grant his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. Amen.”

President Buhari had, on Tuesday, expressed deep sadness over the death of his longtime friend and political associate, Mallam Ismaila Isa Funtua.

The President noted that his painful demise had created a huge gap, having stood consistently by him throughout his political journey.
