Police arraign girl, 19, for stealing N400, 000

Men of the Area ‘E’ FESTAC Police Command in Lagos State have arrested a 19-year-old girl, Favour Ike Isaac, for allegedly stealing the sum of N400,000 belonging to one Mrs. Juliet Pedro Johnson.

Isaac was brought to court by an Investigative Police Officer, Inspector Adebayo Olusada.

The prosecutor, Sgt. Friday Inedu, alleged that the accused person committed the crime at Gani Street, Iba New Site, Lagos.

She was charged with one count charge of stealing.

The charge read that the accused person “did steal the sum of N400, 000 (four hundred thousand Naira) property of Juliet Pedro Johnson (female) thereby committing an offence punishable under Section 287 (7) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”

The accused person pleaded not guilty to the charge against her.

The presiding magistrate, Mr. T.O. Babalola, granted her bail in the sum of N100,000 with two
sureties.

He adjourned the case till April 29 for hearing.
