Police personnel attached to Ajeromi Police Station, Lagos have arraigned a -27- year- old man, , Victor Aniekan, before a Magistrate Court sitting in Apapa for stealing, malicious damage and for attacking his victims with razor and broken bottle.
The accused person, who was brought to court by Sergeant Akinsola Folasade, reportedly committed the crime recently at Ojo Lane, Ajegunle, Apapa.
The prosecutor, Inspector Sunday Bassey, while reading the six-count charge against the accused person, said he conspired with others to assault his victims.
The charge read that Aniekan “commit felony to wit; assault occasioning harm, malicious damage, stealing and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
“Aniekan did assault Francis Friday by beating him with fist blows on his left eye side and he sustained deep cut which caused him bodily harm and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 173 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.
“The accused person and others now at large did unlawfully and deliberately used razor blade to injure one Lucky Imoto on the left chest side which caused him bodily harm and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 173 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
The fourth count stated that the accused person and others now at large “unlawfully used broken bottle to injure one Joseph Osemono on the head and back which caused him a bodily harm and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 173 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.”
