After several hours of botched attempts, the ousted National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff gained access into his office at the Wadata House National Secretariat of the party in Abuja.
Armed policemen had earlier today denied Sheriff entry into the premises of the opposition party, which he had led until last month’s National Convention of the PDP in Port Harcourt, which removed him from office.
The ousted chairman had stormed the PDP National Secretariat in company with his supporters but his convoy was however prevented from entering the premises by armed policemen manning the gates.
Sheriff and his supporters eventually entered the party secretariat around 1:20pm, following the withdrawal of the armed policemen deployed around the building.
