The staff of TopBrass Aviation Services have accused the Chief Executive Officer of the company, Mr. Roland Iyayi, of being involved in a multi-million naira fraud with regard to the operations of the company, and vowed to lead a protest against the management if their seven months outstanding salaries are not paid. The workers said their move, which indicated a vote of no confidence in the management of the company, became necessary because Iyayi had promised and failed to offset the outstanding salaries.
One of the workers, who prefers to be called Tunde, told ThePoint that he had reservations about the Iyayi-led board because the CEO ran the company “like a slave camp, without observing corporate governance rules.”
According to him, the CEO does not pay the staff the amount its clients like Chevron expected. For instance, he alleged that Chevron had instructed the company to pay an average of N300,000 to each cabin crew but TopBrass paid N150,000 instead. “When we complained to….
