The chairman of Social Democratic Party in Osun state, Chief Ademola Ishola, has assured the party’s followers across the state that victory of the party is non negotiable.
Ademola, while speaking exclusively with our correspondent, admitted that the party is currently battling with internal crisis but efforts are on-going by the leadership to resolve it.
“There is no political party in Nigeria that doesn’t have issues among themselves. APC has differences, likewise the PDP. But as far as we are concerned, we are going to settle our differences, to boost the confidence of members of the public,” he
said.
Ademola, while speaking on Senator Iyiola Omisore’s stand in the party, maintained that the former PDP member remains a loyal member of the party despite issues surrounding his emergence as the party’s governorship candidate in the coming governorship election in the state.
“When somebody said that he will not disappoint anybody in the party because of the people, that shows he is ready to serve his people. And that also means what the party is ready to do in the state. SDP started in Osun before it spread to other parts of the country. We need to stand by what we are doing,” he said.
Ademola, however, said SDP and its members across the state are focused on how they will emerge victorious in the September 22 election.
“The election is coming up on September 22. All the focus of the SDP is to win the election. We in the SDP have reviewed our party and we don’t have any alternative to what the people are saying to the party than to come out victorious,” he assured.
